Speakers

Ray Delany

Founder, CIO Studio

Ray has worked as a consultant and run various consulting organisations for approximately half of his career which now spans several decades. His consulting company Designer Technology was acquired by Theta in 2019 and he has been enjoying being a solo consultant again while undertaking a number of interesting projects. In his corporate career Ray has held senior executive positions at Fisher & Paykel, Waitemata District Health Board and Ministry of Health. Ray is a Fellow and former President of ITP and was one of the first 100 holders of ITP's Certified IT Professional (CITPNZ). He is the author of a number of peer-reviewed papers including a chapter on the history of Health IT in NZ. Ray holds a Master of Management and Diploma in Business from Auckland University.

Terry Chapman

Managing Director, Axenic

Terry is the Managing Director of the kick-arse NZ information security company, Axenic. He is a veteran presenter, mentor, and coach, and has a particular interest in helping young kiwi techies develop their more soft and squishy people skills.

Previously, Terry has led and presented in previous ITx conferences and the Microsoft Ignite architecture track for several years, developing a hardcore following of kiwi ICT architects and technologists interested in moving beyond interacting with 1s and 0s.

Rob England

Managing Director, Two Hills Ltd

Rob England has been coaching and consulting to management in the IT sector in Wellington for fifteen years, in service management, DevOps, policy, governance and strategy. He is a global thought leader in business agility, IT service management, and new ways of IT working, with 8 published books, and contributions to VeriSM, ITIL, and DevOps. He is a Chartered IT Professional, and a member of the Business Agility Institute, the Teal Network, and the Open Leadership Network.

Amy Ryburn

Partner at Buddle Findlay

Amy specialises in commercial contracting and procurement, with a particular focus on technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), intellectual property and privacy matters.
Her TMT expertise includes drafting and negotiating agreements for cloud computing solutions, a full range of network and other telco services, and software development projects (using both agile and waterfall methodologies).
Amy's experience also extends to a wide range of general commercial agreements, such as strategic alliances, franchise agreements, IP transfer, licensing and exploitation agreements, publishing agreements, data licensing agreements, reseller and distribution arrangements and customer terms (including online terms).
Amy has a particular interest in how commercial contracts can be crafted to support and promote ICT project success and the role of these contracts in managing ICT projects. She is a regular speaker on issues such as risk allocation and ICT project failure.
Amy has close to 20 years of experience working on complex commercial projects in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. She is a ranked lawyer for the TMT section in the Chambers, Legal 500 and Asialaw directories.

Sharifa Isaako

IT Student, Whitecliffe

Sharifa is studying to complete a Bachelor of Applied IT at Whitecliffe in Wellington. Prior to study, she's been involved in running a number of businesses and is also very active within the Pasifika community in Porirua.
